I began in a rural health clinic in a town of 5,000. My career was spent in medically underserved communities. Nearly twenty years of attending practice included work as a hospitalist, Chief Medical Officer and Chair of Medicine.

I am board-certified in integrative medicine through the American Board of Integrative Medicine (ABOIM), and a Fellow of the Academy of Integrative Health and Medicine, with honors. I am a Full Member of The Menopause Society.

I wrote the book I wanted within reach. Medical explanations, treatment options, and room for the life we still want. Work. Pleasure. Ambition. A little mischief, too.
